I had the pleasure of witnessing a truly heartfelt union of two great people recently at the Seney-Stovall Chapel in Athens. Here are some highlights from Adam and Meredith's sweet wedding! Meredith's mom made her veil and included pieces from her own wedding dress as well as bits of other family heirlooms. The result is unique and beautiful! I love the subtle way Adam's love of comic books was incorporated into the wedding! Adam's priceless reaction to seeing his bride for the first time! "Whoa!" then "Oh yeah, I made a great choice!" There wasn't a dry eye in the house after Meredith and Adam read their vows. They were genuine, touching, and included just the right amount of humor to keep us all from sobbing aloud! After the exceptionally moving toasts, it was PARTY TIME at the Rialto Club of Hotel Indigo! This little cutie stole her mom's shoes, then stole the show with her ridiculous adorable-ness (is that even a word?) Congratulations, you guys! If I had to describe your special day in one word, it would be "genuine." Everything about the day was REAL, and nothing more so than your obvious love and respect for each other. Thanks so much for filling my own heart with love and hope through simply being around you!

A southern chic wedding for the books! Dustin and Chelsey had the most charming wedding at Price Mountain Farm and we were lucky enough to be a small part of it. As my assistant, Sarah, put it, these are the two most photogenic people. Ever! You'll see what I mean below, and keep in mind that very few of these photos are posed! Chelsey's Aunt made the sash to highlight Chelsey's beautiful dress Dustin was hard at work writing the letter to Chelsey to be read on their first anniversary Finally, it was time for these two to get their first looks at each other! Although the weather didn't fully cooperate for the outdoor wedding by the tree this couple had envisioned, we were able to sneak out there for some great photos! One of my favorites moments of any wedding is the new couple walking back up the aisle. The first few minutes that they have together as husband and wife are so sweet! Then it was time to party!! Congratulations Dustin and Chelsey! I see a fun, caring, and adventurous partnership between you and wish you guys all the best!
Sarah and Glenn had a wonderful wedding at the beautiful Sage Cottage Inn in Adairsville last weekend. They were the most laid back couple, just concerned with starting their lives together. I had a great time working with them and getting to know their families! Congratulations you guys! I know you're in for a lifetime of fun and happiness together!
Meghan and James had a beautiful Sunday evening wedding at Flint Hill in historic Norcross. The air was crisp, the sky was blue, the bride and groom were anxiously excited, and the guests were beaming with happiness. Here's a peak into their wonderful wedding. After the finishing touches, this bride was ready to SHINE! Now meet the groom :) A self-admitted serious-faced guy, he can't help himself when his best friend gets involved! These guys are starting their marriage on a firm foundation as both sets of parents are still married to each other; a true and rare accomplishment these days! Time for the first look! Those who couldn't attend were able to view the happenings online. I love that!! The ceremony began with beautiful blue skies and an equally beautiful solo by a family friend. This shot of Meghan's mom coming down the aisle shows a fraction of the excitement and happiness she was exuding all day :) James's proud mama! And after some last minute additions to the vows (did I hear houseboat?), Meghan and James became... ...husband and wife!!! Next came party time! Meghan and James had THE SWEETEST first dance prepared. I've already told my husband that someday we'll have a vow renewal and that we'll do a choreographed dance like this one! MUCH fun was had by all! Congratulations Meghan and James! It was an honor to get to know you and to witness the start of your lives together. I wish you all the happiness in the world!
I had so much fun with this couple's engagement photos last fall that I was really looking forward to their summer wedding at Little Gardens in Lawrenceville. Although the weather threw us a curveball, the whole day was perfectly "them". Enjoy the new Mr. & Mrs. King! A locket from Shelby's new sister-in-law with photos of each of their parents' weddings. Love the tear in her eye after seeing herself in the dress. Proud and excited mama! I knew to expect some Star Wars, but this was pretty darn cool! I ADORE the way the light wraps around her in this photo. SUCH a gorgeous dress! Josh anxiously awaiting his first glimpse of the bride. Thanks to my assistant, Madison, for catching the first-look spies red-handed! Rain, rain, go away... It only sprinkled a little during the ceremony and someone just happened to have an umbrella in their car that matched perfectly with the wedding colors! Shelby's dad is keeping a close watch in the corner :) The reception would not have been complete without a lightsaber battle with a miniature Darth Vader! Josh and Shelby are a fun loving couple so excited to start their lives together, and I was lucky enough to be there for the first step! Congratulations and best wishes you two!!
Both a little shy, both so excited to start the next chapter of their lives together. Nadine and Ryan are so sweet together and I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding on a perfect (warm!) February day at the Payne Corley House. Although the weather man was predicting rain all week, we had a nice warm overcast day for some outdoor shots. What a rock star! These two handsome devils tried to steel the show! Nadine's son was so excited to see his mom all dressed up! All business for the big job :) I have an affinity for kids at weddings... Congratulations Nadine and Ryan!
