It's hard to believe it's already been a whole year since this sweet couple's awesome wedding, but here we are sharing their first anniversary session! I love everything about this session - the fog, the location, the dress, and especially the subjects :) Enjoy this super cool session! Look at this rockstar!! Rocking the super hero pose! I can't even with this shoot! Thank you guys so much for coming out and staying in touch - it was so great to see you again and I can't wait to hear about your vision for our next session :)

My bestie is having a baby!!! This beautiful mama-to-be and her handsome husband met me outside of Athens on a steamy summer evening to celebrate their growing family. Enjoy this beautiful location and stunning couple! I am SO excited for you two and can't wait to snuggle your little love bug soon! XOXO
Look at this adorable couple that I get to work with over the next year as they plan their perfect wedding day. They are so cool, down to earth, and sweet with each other. Enjoy the start of our engagement session at a local farm. Alan used their "puppy" to propose to Lindsey, so it was only fitting to include him in our photos! This couple couldn't keep the giggles away for more than a few moments at a time...and I LOVED it! We had a very curious audience during our session :) Next, we headed down to Turner Field to fulfill a dream of Alan's. We had so much fun exploring the empty stadium and pretending to be star athletes! After shooting Alan, I looked over to find Lindsey looking perfectly posed and adorable - what a natural! Thanks so much for a great day! I am so excited for your wedding next year!
I am beyond excited to share this next session with you! I had the huge honor of being able to travel to picturesque St. George Island with a wonderful family recently, and I begged them all to let me steal some of their time for a little photo shoot. The time was truly magical in my eyes; everyone took a moment to speak a few words of appreciation for each other and I found myself overwhelmed with the amount of love floating in the salt air around me. Enjoy one of my favorite sessions to date! Nanny and Grandpa love their babies! These two have an adventurous, loving, and patient relationship and it flows down into the rest of the family like warm honey! This fun-loving couple has no shortage of laughs to share, even after celebrating their 16th wedding anniversary! This couple has eased into parenthood perfectly and their little boy is smiling proof! Open hearted. Those are the words I choose to describe this couple. Kindness radiates from them and the joy they bring to each other is contagious. And this guy...I could write a book about him! I heard his mother describe him as courageous and I find that to be one of the many powerful words that describe him. He is a dedicated father who loves life and new experiences. His capacity for love is staggering and has served to expand the limits of my own heart to levels I could not have imagined. He's pretty darn cute too :) Next it was my turn! Thanks to Asa and Josh for letting me switch sides of the camera for a bit! These kids had SO much fun together! I am so thankful for the memories my girls are making with this bunch! I can't thank you guys enough for the kindness you have shown me and my girls. Your understanding and open hearts are truly an inspiration and I feel so lucky to able to spend time with each of you. I'm looking forward to much more of that time in the future!
And for anyone else looking for your own family beach shoot, I'm always a phone call and suitcase away :) There is no greater compliment than to be allowed to photograph a family as it grows. I first met Bailey and Jeff about 4 years ago as newlyweds. Now they are ready to expand their family and add even more adventure to their journey. I can't wait to meet the little guy in just a few short weeks! Gorgeous girl in gorgeous light in a gorgeous setting - it doesn't get much better than that for a photographer! I was forced to stop only when we all got hungry for dinner! Good luck in these next few weeks - you guys are going to be such loving parents!!
Celebrating 9 years of marriage, this couple decided to invest in themselves and booked a photo session. My goal is always to leave my clients feeling more connected with each other after our session, and this is especially so with couples that have been together a while. It was a joy to watch this sweet couple open up to me and to each other during our time together! Thank you so much for letting me take a glimpse into your loving relationship - you guys are seriously too sweet!
A southern chic wedding for the books! Dustin and Chelsey had the most charming wedding at Price Mountain Farm and we were lucky enough to be a small part of it. As my assistant, Sarah, put it, these are the two most photogenic people. Ever! You'll see what I mean below, and keep in mind that very few of these photos are posed! Chelsey's Aunt made the sash to highlight Chelsey's beautiful dress Dustin was hard at work writing the letter to Chelsey to be read on their first anniversary Finally, it was time for these two to get their first looks at each other! Although the weather didn't fully cooperate for the outdoor wedding by the tree this couple had envisioned, we were able to sneak out there for some great photos! One of my favorites moments of any wedding is the new couple walking back up the aisle. The first few minutes that they have together as husband and wife are so sweet! Then it was time to party!! Congratulations Dustin and Chelsey! I see a fun, caring, and adventurous partnership between you and wish you guys all the best!
Dustin and Chelsey are the sweetest couple and I connected with them right away. They met in Dahlonega while attending North Georgia College (I know the name has changed now, but old habits die hard!) just a few years after I was there. Living in that area, they spent time hiking the nearby trails and enjoying nature. Dustin even proposed on a river. After meeting Dustin and Chelsey for the first time, I traveled to a wedding that afternoon on Lake Lanier and my handy iPhone map lady directed me to go over Buford Dam. Although I have lived in the area forever and frequent the lake often, I had never seen the Buford Dam area before. I knew right away that it would be a perfect location for this outdoorsy couple's engagement photos. We enjoyed some beautiful spring weather and loved exploring the parks. Enjoy a peek into our morning! Dustin's grandmother made this quilt and he had it when he proposed to Chelsey. I love including memories like this into their photos! We then traveled to their favorite local coffee shop. Chelsey is a teacher and was excited to incorporate her love for reading into the session. As we were shooting outside the coffee shop, I put the camera down to allow a few people to pass. From across the street I watched Chelsey whisper something to Dustin, then they both erupted into laughter. It turns out that the people passing by included Chelsey's ex-boyfriend and she wasn't sure of the proper etiquette for greeting one's ex while shooting engagement photos with the guy who stole her away! You guys really are a charming couple and I'm so excited to witness the start of your marriage in a few months!
A Great Gatsby themed party?! I am SO there! Robert and Ricardo celebrated their engagement in style! Everything about this party was fabulous - from the decorations, to the food, to the friends and family of these two great guys. See for yourself! The wonderful food from Karen Walkup of Finishing Touches Catering was as delicious as it looked, and the personalized wall projection and 20s car really set the tone for this decadent celebration. Robert's beautiful mother hosted a great party and totally rocked that look! I'll leave you with my favorite photo of the night. That sweet, natural look of happiness can't be posed! Congratulations Robert and Ricardo! I wish you all the best!
...And if you think you'd like a photographer with you in Hawaii, I think I could be persuaded :) {Guests of the party, the full gallery can be viewed here.} I've had the pleasure of seeing this bride-to-be's smiling face often at our chiropractor's office. Soon I'll get to see that beaming smile accompanied by a wedding dress and her tall and handsome new husband! First though, we met up to remember the sweet time before the wedding. Enjoy Sarah and Glenn's engagement photos! Sarah and Glenn met at a gym where Sarah was working. After a friendly cat fight with another co-worker over the tall cute guy, Sarah started dating Glenn. The rest, as they say, is history! Glenn is a car enthusiast and was super excited to include his Papa's '64 Chevy in the photos :) Laughing at the idea that Sarah would ever be driving the truck! But she looks SO GREAT in it! You guys are naturals and I can't wait to be there for your sweet and special wedding in June!
