Imagine my surprise to open my email on October 3 and learn the news that little Matthew was already 2 days old! That little guy had had enough of being cooped up and decided make his debut a few weeks early! Healthy and perfectly perfect, here is baby Matthew at only 10 days old (and still 3 days short of his original due date!).
Whenever I get the exciting job of shooting a maternity session, I try to get the photos back to the client super quickly so that they can enjoy them before the new baby comes. That was my intention with Richard and Michelle. We had their maternity session on September 22, I posted a few photos on the blog on October 1, and sent them the photos on October 2 (10 days after the shoot). I thought I was doing pretty darn good! Love all that hair! This family travels frequently and is already working on getting Matthew's passport for an international trip next year. They thought a luggage photos was only too appropriate! Nothing much sweeter than a new mama with her baby :) Super cute Smurf nursery Dad, Richard's, only request was a few sports-related photos. Forget expensive bouncy seats and bassinets, Matthew loved being in that baseball glove! Congratulations guys! Thanks so much for letting me soak up some baby love!

A belly bump!! I love helping a couple document such an exciting and special time in their journey, so last weekend, I met up with Michelle and Richard at Piedmont Park to do just that! With Music Midtown going on at the park, we had dancing music in the background of our shoot and saw some *interesting* things on our walk! The weather was perfect and these two are great together. I can't wait to meet the new member of the family in a few weeks! They've been calling the baby "Peapod" :) Talk about glowing!! Isn't she gorgeous! Michelle and Richard each collected Smurfs as kids, and the baby's nursery is also Smurf-themed, so we had to sneak the little blue guys into a few shots! I love the reflection of the city in this one. Right after this shot, the wind picked up and the city rippled away into a million little pieces. 1 + 1 = 3 I really enjoyed meeting both of you. You guys are so easy-going (a great quality for soon-to-be parents!) and so loving towards each other. Good luck in the next few weeks - I'm giddy at the idea that I'll be snuggling your little peapod soon!
